This would have been much better in white. If this was white and gained life from white mana symbols, it would work wonderfully with Felidar Sovereign, Serra Ascendant, Serra Avatar, Ajani Goldmane, and Divinity of Pride.

Now i wouldnt say that scrumbling. If you got 2 hydras thats 32 life. In a deck built around it i would include 4. Just one hydra or primalclux is 12+ life. Vs faster decks or burn, this could buy you the time you need for your slower deck to function.

The art is much more beautiful in this version, the first card I got when I started anew in Magic and an absolutely lovely little boost that makes me wait to drop that third forest even if I could play any of the 
cards in hand.

You can pack your hand with as many Khalni Hydra and Primalcrux as you want, but the card just isn't any good.
