Each Time Spiral card was an homage to at least one previously printed card.
This card is referencing Crusade.

I actually don't mind that he can potentially pump my enemies. What I do mind is that he's just a spirit. Not Spirit Soldier, Spirit Knight, just plain spirit. Stupidly enough, I omitted him from my soldier deck specifically because of this, even though this card is just amazing.

He does have flying... and he's pretty good in mono white.

He was very good against faeries and most control decks in general, enemy white creatures never came up that often.

this guy's great. omitting the "you control" was the only way to make him balanced. otherwise you'd b looking at an honor of the pure with legs, flying flash and split second. and its only an uncommon?
thing about bad moon and that's got a lot of love

Quit whining about it giving +1/+1 to ALL {W} creatures.
You're getting Crusade as a 2/2 Flyer with Flash and Split Second for only {2} more. If they'd made it so that he only gives your {W} creatures +1/+1, his CMC would probably be at least 2 higher than it is now. For a 4-drop, he's pretty good.

This is a Crusade on legs.
Due to the potential to backfire horribly, probably best left in the sideboard.

Remember Benalish Cavalry? This guy's official new nickname is Theoden. He does what B. Cavalry was supposed to. :) If only he granted first strike....
Theoden: DEATH! DEATH! DEATH! DEATH! DEATH! DEATH!!!!!!!

The words "you control" make this guy not as good.
