Might be alright with pump spells. It turns many 1 mana red instants/sorceries into lightning bolts, and it turns things like Teetering Peaks into a shock. Not terrible.

When Combat damage used the stack, this had decent 2-for-1 potential. In a deck where you want to abuse sacrifice effects, this could play a part, but I don't see it being an all star. 1.5/5
