Back in the Revised and earlier days this was one rockin' bad black dude, but as is the case with so many of the other older cards the are now better cards for an equivalent CMC. I still like this card, though. Maybe we'll see it more in extended now with all of the vampire cards in 2010 and Zendikar.

Malakir Bloodwitch is a lot better. Sengir Vampire's "growing" ability rarely matters much, pro white and life drain often does.
