Good, but it got beat out by despise, but not by much. This shouldn't account for why ostracize is rated so much lower than despise

The flavor text completely fails to understand the flavor of the card. Par for the course with 7th edition.

A decent card. It's just a shame it was competing with the superior Duress, really - especially at the time, there were far more dangerous early non-creature spells than creature spells. From their first go-around, Tinker and Voltaic Key both spring instantly to mind.

Not a bad card. While true Despise is strictly better, this can be used in the pauper format, and goes well when paired with Duress.
