Yeah It would replace my stone rain on match two and it worked fine... when it was before tenth edition came along and took my stone rain away >:O
Then I used it in an aggressive goblin deck and the 3 damage really goes a long way, plus it was great disruption.

One of my pentagram decks uses this plus Radiate on his :w::u: enemy.

With the resurgence of WUR decks in modern, I would not be surprised if this card started seeing play again. Compared to Molten Rain, the single red in the mana cost is a major difference, allowing many more mana bases to support it.
