I love how if this monster gets Flanked it will die of effects before the battle even begins. What is it with all these 2/2, 2 manage monsters with horrific negatives? Cleverly getting around a negative effect is a great incentive to use a monster that has one paired with unusually high stats, but how many players out there look and this card and go "Awesome! If I can just prevent my enemy from blocking, I can do some mediocre damage with this!"

OK, I'll have a good time.
-Vampire Nighthawk is black, not red.
-Vampire Nighthawk costs three mana, not two.

Barely playable when first printed, but that was mostly because of the almost total lack of Goblins larger than a 1/1 back then. Well, okay, you had Goblin Hero, which was a 2/2 for 2R - yeah for Grey Ogres with useful tribal types?! After Goblin Piker was printed, this terrible card should never again have seen the light of day.

I don't remember there ever being a card as reviled as this, to open in a booster pack. It sucks, and there are so many other goblins with the same cost that are better in every way.

Even Grizzly Bears are better, than this "elite"...
