You only need one of these and a Wake Thrasher. Read the rulings.

I want 4. I like the thought of this and Elvish Piper together.

Great in combo-oriented Elf decks.
This is also part of an infinite life combo with Insolence and Samite Ministration.

Cards like this and Quirion Ranger are great for turn 3 Eldrazi or any other high powered board sweeper.

@bijart_dauth:
Well, two of them and a Wake Thrasher get you there. Though Omen's Llanowar Behemoth idea, as you're insinuating, would not.

Combo or no, it's great in the Onslaught-style elf decks (and even some Lorwyn-style elves). Doubling up on your Wellwishers, Timberwatch Elf, and more is well worth it.

@omenlabon, how do you get infinite pump with it. it says "tap" not "when it is tapped"

@Ideatog: Storm is something entirely different. Each instance of storm is a separate source because they're not the same spell. With Insolence, however, each instance of damage IS from the same spell or permanent. Multiple triggers from the same spell or permanent are all from the same source.

Incorrect Ideatog. Look at the rulings on Desperate Gambit - a source can be a spell, but can also be a permanent. The combo does work - you choose Insolence itself as the source (you cannot in fact target the ability).

Your storm example is accurate in and of itself, but it isn't similar to this situation. All damage from Insolence comes from a single source, whereas each spell (and each copied spell generated by storm) is a different source entirely unrelated to the original from the time it is put on the stack.
