This was great blocker and in crunch he could shoot down lots of troublesome creatures: All lords, Hyppies etc. Not bad at all, just needed a little bit 'thinking outside the box'.

Probably one of the most useful orcs ever printed, which I know isn't saying much. The trade off seems severe, but the ability to inflict two points of damage for only a tap is fantastically useful. And when you are on the offensive from the start, as most aggressive red decks were, you typically had the early life advantage needed to use the ability. This card was a staple in early Sligh decks. I loved that even moderately powerful cards used to have drawbacks that required more skill to play than just throwing down an endless supply of awesome creatures and attacking.
