Remember kids, in a pinch you could use pump spells on your opponents creature to enable the destroy effect, example:
Opponent controls a Dark Confidant (2/1 for {1}{B}) that's giving them some pretty hefty card advantage...in response at the end of turn:
{T} Forest -> {G} -> Giant Growth (or similliar spell) targeting the Dark Confidant, making him a 4/3...then {T} Intrepid Hero to destroy it!
Very flavourful and versatile card, for a similar {B} version see Royal Assassin

I remember I was playing a game where this was my last creature on the battlefield. My opponent had Silvos, Rogue Elemental out. I'm @ 6 life. I realize I'm about to loose. But then I remember a very nice rule. When a creature regenerates it taps.
So every time it is his turn I tap this guy to kill his Silvos. He regens him but it doesn't matter because he has to tap & can't attack with him. Needless to say he was ***ed. But this guy is was my MVP! Go old school!

This is one of the most fun and white-flavored cards ever printed.
