7th Edition had a theme, almost a story even, of the feud between the northern paladin and the southern paladin against the eastern paladin and western paladin.
Not sure who wins but I'm @ssuming it's the pentarch paladin.

I think Western Paladin is a pretty cool guy. Eh kills white creatures all day and doesn't afraid of anything.
