A standard land searcher if you simply need an additional body, don't need a specific colour and want an untapped land. Otherwise search with Farhaven Elf.

This can fetch dual lands such as Temple Garden. Which, early in the game, you would probably let it enter the battlefield tapped anyways...

My half-assed combo with this is to Champion it with Wren's Run Packmaster, that way if it gets bladed or anything, then i get another land. which all counts towards Howl of the Night Pack.

I like it because it is one of the smallest creatures available to do this ability
silverglade elemental, Ondu giant, quirion trailblazer, and the list goes on.

Holgir, I feel where you are coming from. Woodeleves get a forest, Farhaven any basic. As tcollins pointed out, this is superior if you have access to dual lands and/or shock lands. What I don't understand is reasoning in the comment. "A standard land searcher if you simply need an additional body, don't need a specific colour and want an untapped land. Otherwise search with Farhaven Elf." Farhaven elf has the same CMC, the same p/t, the fetched land ETBs tapped.... except for the duals (that contain forest) vs basic of any color, and Scout subtype vs Druid, they are pretty much exactly the same.
I would run these dudes over Farhaven personally, since they can fetch non-basic Forests.
3.5/5 in monogreen (for nastalgia) or if you are playing with duals/shocks. other than that I would agree with holgir...
