{W}: +1/+1
"Will players understand what this means?"
"Yes, clearly it gives the enchanted creature +1/+1 for a white mana until end of turn."
"Wait, end of turn? where did you pull that from?"
"Look at the card! Says it right there. {W}: +1/+1. Could it be any more clear? I think not."

I guess this was white's answer to Frozen Shade. "What? You have a 0/1 creature that gets +1/+1 for each black mana you spend? Well, HA! My Pearled Unicorn does that, too, and IT starts out as a 2/2!" This card never played very well for me. White weenie decks like to get the most out of their mana, and speed is of the utmost importance. Crusade was always the much better choice. I'd argue that more than half the time, Holy Strength is a better choice.

Gah, it drove me batty in Revised Edition (when I started playing) when I saw cards like this. At first, I didn't realize that the effect only lasted until end of turn. I know, I know - I'm sure that was detailed somewhere in the rulebook, but would have hurt to put it on the card? It's not like they were short on room on this card (or Frozen Shade, Firebreathing, or Shivan Dragon.)

Anyway, this card is a decent one. Not great and it suffers all the problems creature enchantments typically suffer, but at least it can be brutal if it hits.

IMHO there should be no rules text on cards, but have a rules cards in boosters (like they do now).

I like more flavor text on cards so when I see a simple creature with flying and vigilance I just hate if those keywords are followed with the parenthezized rules text meaning that there was no room for flavor on that card left.

What comes to Blessing it's a very good card. Don't use it in your white weenie deck, but instead in your WU control with few fliers.

Whose idea was it to remove the "until end of turn" clause? If you look at older printings, you see it clearly states it's until end of turn.
