Circle of Protection: Red is probably the best of the COP's, as it protects you from red's deadliest asset - burn. Lightning Bolt, Fireball, and Disintegrate all bounce off the COP: Red for a single mana. Cast your own Earthquake and prevent the damage to yourself while putting the hurt on your opponent and all the non-flying creatures on the board. Oh, and this is a nifty stop to cards like Hill Giant, Fire Elemental, and the mighty Shivan Dragon.

This and black are the most annoying COPs - when I see a red/white deck drop this or a black/white deck drop the black one I unload immediately before Pyrohemia, Pestilence or whatever other trick they have up their sleeve hits the table.
