Not sure I agree with Eppek on this one... White has a lot more damage potential than it used to, and White Beatdown is pretty legitimate with the Liks of Baneslayer Angel running around.
The card is obviously narrow, but at a measly one colorless per pop, this thing can get ridiculous and really lock someone down.

Possibly the least useful of the Circles of Protection, Circle of Protection: White can give you adequate defense against your opponent's Serra Angel and Personal Incarnation. Generally, white uses weenie tactics, which drastically reduces the effectiveness of a COP, and white is lacking in the direct damage department.

White may be lacking direct damage but it get a lot of benefits from that damage (see Celestial Mantle for ex.).
Not so useless as one may think.
