although Tangle asp kills at the end of combat, while sylvan basilisk survives to tell his grandchildren.

@Ladwig:
The Enchant Creature equivalent of Deathtouch would be Venomous Fangs, not Venom. The ideas are similar, but not the same.
Lure's a pretty handy card. I'd have to give it a 3.5 of 5 rating. In the right conditions, of course, it seems as though the card deserves a much higher rating. The card just requires those proper settings to have already been set up before it's useful. With, say, one or two creatures in play, it's a little difficult for Lure to be game-winning or something.
...also, Gorilla Berserkers has a pseudo-Lure built into it. Lure holds a more significant place enchanting a Craw Giant. :D

Green removal with the right creatures in play.
Nice, casual-level synergy with Greater Basilisk from M11, just in case you were wondering what cheap tricks you could do with a deathtouching fatty.
Between M11 and the upcoming M12, green actually has a fun suite of control options at its disposal.

Tangle asp is a better option, it's much cheaper.

Many a game has been won or lost on the strength of this card, preventing chump blocking and allowing your big monsters right on through.

Why isn't this card rated any higher?? Combine with deathtouch/regeneration, and pulverize anything with summoning sickness ! ;D
Or just use it on a lousy 1/1 creature, clearing the way for some big, nasty beasts! We're talking green afterall!!
