Very effective against Storm type decks in legacy, not to mention will more then likely buy you a few extra turns against other legacy combo decks as well. Fetch lands will really bleed a player if they run into someone running Root Maze... But focusing on storm players, they run Lotus Petals, Lion's Eye Diamonds, and have a tendency to go off usually between turns 2 - 4. This + Gorilla Shaman should own most storm decks. You can also add Pyrostatic Pillar for storm players to probably scoop. Its always nice to find answers against top ranked legacy decks without adding blue or white to your deck construction. Legacy is a very unforgiving format, and if your one of those players who likes to push the envelope and play against the odds, you will really have to examine a lot of different one drops that disrupt the field, otherwise your tournament experience may very well be a short one...

Suggestion: play this in a sideboard, or with MANY enters-battlefield-tapped nonbasics.

Why would this have a low rating? It takes away the draw backs of not only those "comes into play tapped" half assed lands, and makes those Diamonds not as bad too.
