reusable... option to hit creatures... I'm sorry but... Lava Axe = Obsolete

Fairly effeicient, but shuffling it back into your dech is hardly a reason to play this card unless you're playing something that turns all your draws into tutors or something. Most red decks would rather not be playing 5-cost burn spells, since you can get the same damage for 1 more mana off Fireball along with tons of versatility.

Red cards in 5 color cycles always get the shaft. "What's the red card gonna do?" "Oh, just have it burn something."

Anyone who has played The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion will quickly realize this card looks oddly familiar...

Wow, I didn't realize that Lava Axe had already been obsoleted even before Unstable Footing was printed. I'd say this is better, since it can target creatures.

5 mana, 5 damage, instant speed, and it's reuseable. What's not to like?

there is no reason Not to run this In EDH or possible any burn deck you use(unless you are certain you won't get 5 mana) For God Sakes MAN IT RE SHUFFLES IT SELF!
