I somehow read this as "Fruit of Granite". That alone cements my opinion of this card.

Funny enough, if this card gave a creature +1/+2 with Flash, people would probably love it to death. Granted, that +1 power makes the spell a lot more versatile, but still.

I am honestly unsure how adding giant granite claws to a creature, even if it is weightless granite, fails to manage to raise the creatures power by even 1 whole point. Like the flavor of the card and the art, I just wish that it was a little more fitting to the mechanic.

"You shouldn't take this gift for granite. *everyone groans*" --Totema
Let's try to out-groan people with the following poem inspired by that overused pun:
The rival planned a final blow,
And took his death for granted.
But little did his enemy know,
For he turned his body to granite.

Unlike most Future Sight cards, this isn't even a novel effect. A cheap, white flash aura boosting p/t had already been created. Mageta's Boon
