Along with the other cheap changeling spells(e.g., Wings of Velis Vel, Nameless Inversion, Crib Swap and Woodland Changeling), it's great for copying over and over with a random Banneret and Haakon.

it seems that no one likes the changelings of lorwyn, except the elementals in this cards flavortext.

@Moonpoint - only if they count the allies in play for determining an X value

@ Dacen:
I'm fairly certain you can play this using the combo Gwafa was talking about; nowhere on either of those two cards does the word "creature" occur where indicated, and you're not putting them onto the battlefield anyway. In essence, this spell is a solder, rebel, merfolk, wizard, treefolk, and, critically, a knight spell. it's not a creature; but the Bannerets and Haakon don't require the spell to be a creature in order to make the combo work.

How does this affect creatures in play that gain "ally" status. Does this affect other ally abilities for a turn

@ Gwafa_Hazid:
No. Instants and Sorceries don't enter the battlefield. The only game zone they can exist as such is the stack.

I like Coordinated Assault better, but it's not bad for a back up heroic enabler.
