Old cards' text lies on the rules of that time, ehich didn't cover all Magic possibilities and aspects, so it is often a bit too long or expression-free; I don't think however it makes no sense...

Here is a picture of the Forcefield art and the Mox Jet art put together. If you or a have a buddy both cards you should put them together it looks cool in person.

Considering it's age, this is a pretty decent anti aggro artifact. This is why green decks must run Naturalize.
