Benefits from Recross the Paths and Rampant Growth. Play it with Reach of Branches for a gargantuan creature combined with lots of 2/5 treefolk tokens. Also, Terramorphic Expanse to go for a little deck-thinning, and definitely run with Leaf-Crowned Elder to up your quota of treefolk per turn. Seedguide Ash could be good as a finisher.

Show me another card that's a 5/7 attacker for 3 mana. (assuming you play a forrest and treefolk that turn). Slap on lure and you can devastate your oponent on turn 4 (turn 3 with mana acceleration).

What is better is if Obsianian battle axe is in play then he becomes a 7/8 with haste. Nasty for turn 3 with a birds or hierarch in play turn one.

Does this get +2/+2 if the Treefolk you play is countered?

Use Sporemound and Life and Limb for infinitely large Battlewand Oak. Probably will force a draw, though..

@a7141988
Yes, it does get +2/+2 since the spell is considered played before it is countered.
I never noticed that there were cards with landfall-like abilities before ZEN...
The only problem here is that if you have mana accel, like many {G} decks do, you'll probably be running less lands in your deck (causing this ability to trigger less). Still a decent card though.

I just noticed that this card is pretty much the Proto-Landfall creature. It only works for forests, but whatever.
