@Blackworm_Bloodworm: I'll downvote any person who states "... just about each block we get creatures that overshadow ", and then goes on to compare it to Rakdos Cackler (from the newest set) while wrongly using the term "strictly better".
First off, there haven't been a single hybrid red/green 1-drop as good as Tattermunge Maniac since Tattermunge Maniac. Comparing it to Goblin Guide and the like just won't do, because this card has the advantage of being hybrid in a multicolor deck. This is especially relevant if you're running "color matters" cards (Boartusk Liege etc.).
Secondly, Rakdos Cackler doesn't have the same colors as Tattermunge Maniac, and therefore isn't "strictly better" - you can't play it with green mana. You want strictly better? Take Walking Corpse and compare it with Spineless Thug or Scathe Zombies.... (see all)

A great first drop in any aggro deck that works great with Jund Hackblade

This guy can hit for 4-6+ damage if you drop him on your first turn, thats more than enough damage for you Ram Gangs and burn spells to get a nearly unbeatable advantage. Just what an aggro deck wants. Hes awesome.

I liked this card over Mogg Fanatic...until I got hit with Contaminated Bonds.
Still not bad in RDW though.

Exactly what RG aggro likes to play anyway, especially with the color's respective liege, which should be any deck this is in anyway.
