Certainly it's better than 'meh' based on cost efficiency alone. 1 Mana basic fodder, with a 1 mana ability that's probably going to be trigger like crazy and doesn't even tap it. Meaning it can join the raiding party you throw at your opponent when you've stopped all their blocked from forming cogent thoughts. Seems to combo pretty naturally with the Red theme of overrunning the opposition.

this card is not to be underestimated in a goblin deck. it's often the first or second creature to die to removal as well (first being sparksmith), so i know my opponent considers it a threat. :D

If it weren't for the mana cost on the ability, this would be playable. But Goblin decks want to tap out every single turn, so this is not that great.
