Is this removal? I thought it was like Peregrine Mask and was flying defence. Both work I suppose.

Basically the blue version of Lignify. It takes out an attacker or makes one of your creatures better at blocking. Also printed in the same set, at the same CMC.

Not bad, though Ligify's main power came from removing the abilities the creature has (indestructibility, etc.), so it is the better card, IMHO.
