I think this card definately makes me want everyone with a noncombo, casual elf deck to add in some black. I think between this and the black tribal elf terror, elf cards will have the ability to have more combat options than nath's elite and heedless one

If only they would make more black elves, I would like this card.

not bad, but I don't like the discard feature... It would be much more viable if it would require sacrificing and elf instead. In a late game, you can have problems having an elf worth discarding... it may have some synergy with Revive the Fallen, having some means to ensure you'll win the clash (for example having Gilt-Leaf Seer and manipulating cards like Wirewood Guardian to be on the top while clashing)... but it still require having specific cards and you can't rely on that for a 100% of the time... not mention countering some part of your combo.
Soo... if it would require sacrificing an elf, or paying some mana, I would play it... otherwise, I would rather play Eyeblight's Ending or another removal.

Pretty art (Sexy! :D) but kinda self-defeating ability unless you're going with a really quirky reanimation elf deck.
I feel this could've cost 1 less and still be fine.

Such a deliciously flavourful card. It's a shame it isn't more useful.

Also lets you directly pitch other elf assassins to fuel Scarblade Elite.
