I think lands need more color. Expansion sets have had a dark moody flavor with lots of black in all lands since Shadowmoor, M10 and 11 really put a lot of color back into their art, but Lorwyn is still the most happy set in Magic history.

Always a bit jarring when they make lands with art coloured differently from the colour of the mana it produces. Still nice art and fine land.

I dig Lorwyn's lands, minus their swamps. Swamps are dark, dank, depressing pits full of despair and lacking color.

@SnackyNorph: If you look at real world swamps, they may be unpleasant for human beings, but they're certainly full of vibrant life and colour. That's why the Lorwyn swamps are pretty much the only Swamps in Magic that I like.
