I prefer bouncing creatures to destroying them, because it makes opponents tap mana AGAIN to cast them, if that is even worth the effort. This can also save your dudes, but you're losing if you need this to be defensive.

I'm pretty sure this is still the most versatile 1 drop bounce (being good as both offense and defense). I personally prefer echoing truth though. The extra mana isnt a deal breaker and the effect can sometimes just be so ridiculous (know anyone with a squirrel deck?).
