Eh, theres already 2 better flying soldiers from the same set: Kithkin Zephyrnaut and Burrenton Bombardier. The zephyrnaut has a nice kinship ability and the bombardier can reinforce a creature.

It's a Bird and a Soldier. That gets it +2/+2 from Aven Brigadier, and fits it in perfectly with Aven tribal.
It does good in any Tribal that doesn't usually get flyers and gives good abilitys that work well with flying.

One of the few 3-drop giants, and (probably) the only one in white, making it one of the few cards that a White Weenie deck can use to make Kithkin Greatheart a 3/2 on turn 3. If I remember correctly, they were both in the Kithkin precon, too. While not a pro-level combo, still nice for limited and casual. It also works well with Goldmeadow Stalwart, allowing you to get a nice offensive curve in the first few turns. Plue it's also buffed by Wizened Cenn. AND it flies. Good God, this guy's a versatile ally for the Kithkin.

It's a good creature in limited. But even though it's a changeling, it's pretty meh for constructed.

It is really hard to judge just how usefull any given changeling will be because sometimes their use in tribal can make all the diffrence and sometimes it is a non-issue.
That said I think that Avian changeling could be usefull in soldier tribal due to the lack of low cost soldiers w/ flying.

Hilariously good in soldiers vs. slivers. It gets all the bonuses on both sides of the board, and it becomes very difficult for the sliver deck to deal with.

Tribal is not the only use for cards that are changeling, Mirroden likes myrs, and well these ARE mrys! Basically they can be used to give a myr deck flying support!
