Does this mean that I can target a different person to lose life than the one who casted the spell?

@dorbeetle
yes.
It doesn't matter who cast the spell, it can be you or any opponent. You may choose any legal target upon activating the effect.

"Life is a circle. Death is vicious circle. *makes a circle in the air to demonstrate* "
Can't take this guy seriously. Imagine the flavor texts they were considering before they settled on that.
"Life's a circle. Death's...well, it's also a circle I guess, but it's an evil circle!"

There is nothing better than a one-drop with an interesting ability. This has an interesting AND useful ability with some great art to boot. Love it.

@majinara:
I don't think you understand this card's design. You DO play good creatures, and in addition to that, any leftover mana on your part becomes life loss for the opponent.

@sweetestsadist, your view of the game is way to aggro. This card is one for a 1\1 with a great ability. It is meant for a black life loss/discard deck, this card is a sniper they are meant to be weak. Just have a few cards like Disentomb. Oh by the way you=noob.

Horrible card. If you want to deal damage, play a good creature instead, which doesn't cost you mana to deal minor amounts of lifeloss, but causes damage by actually attacking, which this guy never will.
