It was pretty awesome in the learn to play sets that came with the video game. If you got this and prodigal sorcerer out, you could take down their 2/2s without even trying. Keep in mind, these were decks that had 6/6s as their ultimate monster and you were pretty much guaranteed victory if you managed to use the 3 mana discard on their 6/6.
People say the dual decks are only balanced because they are always both complete ass, but they have no idea what they used to be like.
Edit: I believe one of the 6/6s was Vizzerdrix.

If you have 11 mana and a Voltaic Key, you can cast this and kill Storm Crow in the same turn.
