So you can make a card with an obvious pentragram in the name and picture, but you can't reprint this Alpha art of Unholy Strength for fourth edition... I just don't get it.

Gave it a 3. This is good:
-Against Red or Black {X} spells (the damage ones at least. Black has tended towards life loss in modern.)
-Against singular fatties (control decks)
-RDW. If they run out of fuel they have to save it up to get passed this. That may be enough time to salvage the game.
maybe a few other things. It's usable in casual duels, not much else. (Multiplayer, I guess you could encourage someone to attack another opponent.)

8 mana total to actually make this card do something, and the something in question is a very situational ability not worth the price. While preventing damage isn't exactly bad, it isn't good either and just stalls, preventing you from using the mana on something else while your opponent is free to cast more spells and threats in addition to the one that you are preventing, which will certainly attack every turn since it is unharmed and not inconvenienced in the least by this card. The only way this could conceivably be useful is if it was against a VERY slow burn/sligh deck, and even then they could just cast a shatter. This rare is one of those cards that introduces people to the concept that not all cards are good and what sounds good at first glance does not mean it is worth it.
