"This card originally had shroud, but that didn't allow its Aura (Favor of the Overbeing) to be played on it—a big no-no, as that's part of the fun of the one-drop hybrid creature. So we changed it to what R&D affectionately refers to as troll-shroud." - Mark Rosewater

I love that the card got a boost due to the fact that the obvious design made it unfun. I would play 8 if they made it a companion. My personal favorite aura is Verdant Embrace, and this is a great choice for it.

Dies to Hornet Sting.
Your own Hornet Sting, that is.

Also known as Slippery MF Bogle among my friends. This guy never fails.

It's getting a blade on them that's the problem.

A great target for any enchantments, but I think Silhana Ledgewalker is worth the 1 extra mana.

Turn 2, Arcanum Wings.
Turn 3, aura swap for Eldrazi Conscription.

My cousin seems to be able to get a Celestial Mantle attached to this little guy half the time he uses his Slippery Boggle deck and, with Traveler's Cloak, I immediately start swearing.

For me, this is the best one-drop ever. Couldn't do without him.

Intersting card. Troll shroud is always fun, but on a 1/1 body may not be all that great. Then again it can't be targeted so it can always be beefed up with enchantment auras.
