The flavor text amuses me. A scarecrow deck was one of the first decks I ever made, and the thought of this guy using one of the poor bastards as a hat is both nostalgic and funny.

Well, a 3/3 for 4 or a 4/4 for 5 with enchantment/artifact destruction. Strictly better than Indrik Stomphowler for its flexibility. Works well with Hatchet Bully or Scarscale Ritual.

4/4 for 4 or a 5/5 for the low low price of killing an artifact or enchantment. also good for blocking the wither (seemed to be a large amount of it in this block.

More of a SB card in my opinion, but still decent.

It never really occurred to me before, but this guy was probably a beast in limited. He’s got a decent power and toughness, and green easily manages his casting cost and activation. Plus, he looks set to take on 2 of the sets main themes: Wither and Scarecrows! He even starts with a scar just so he’ll usually be relevant. Definitely a helpful critter in my Treefolk EDH…

GB loves this. You can use Scarscale ritual, Blowfly infestation, carnifex demon, black sun's zenith, Fume spitter to fuel this guy to kill more artifacts and enchantments while being able to kill opposing critters. What's more, they all work together well and make for a fun deck :D.
Also, keep in mind you can burn all of the -1/-1 counters on this guy on a single artifact/enchant by put it all on the stack at once.
