I'd much rather have a Birds of Paradise. This card is not nearly as good. Tap for mana is much better than tap + 
for mana.

So far, this is the only cmc 1 elf that can produce 
, as well as whatever else. Yes, lotus cobra, birds or the leafcaller are better, but they're not elves. I picture the Viridians as limited Skyshroud Elves, but for any color mana and less to cast.
