Fracturing Gust is well worth the extra one mana! Instant speed is so good on a sweeper. And it hits artifacts.
I suppose if you had an artifact deck and you wanted a sideboard against enchantments? But there's Back to nature now. You don't gain life but enchantress isn't usually beating you down after you blow up all their stuff.
