It's no Clearwater Goblet, but it has saved the game for me before. Cheap and easy life gain.

It's a good thing WOTC realized how broken this is and limited this extremely powerful card to W with Marble Chalice.

It depends. In a control deck Fountain of Youth is clearly better as you don't need tap your mana on your own turn.
