It would be pretty interesting for .
@blindthrall: How can you say Terror is strictly better when you just mentioned two examples where this card outshines Terror in your previous sentence? "Strictly better" is normally used to compare cards with identical functionality, but of which one has some general advantage the other one hasn't. (E.g. more damage, if you compare Shock to Lightning Bolt.)

Only good in mono-black deck, and in the early game. Later on, you're going to want to play your black spells and empty your hand, not hoard them to pump up your Scent of Nightshades.

Know why this card is good? No regeneration, targets black, and can take out Baloths and Thoctars and any other nasty third turn surprises that you normally wouldn't have the mana to deal with. I know Terror is strictly better, but it really comes in handy against those damn Vampire Nighthawks.

This card is terrible in a normal game - the longer the game runs, the greater you need X to be, but as the game continues, X gets smaller and smaller. Grasp of Darkness FTW!

Good grief, just use a Dismember.
