Gentlemen, what we are seeing here is a phenomenon known as "So much big."

Ho-lee crap. I'm making a giant deck now.

Edit: I built that deck. One of my friends bought it. Now he kills in our play group. The guys that underestimate giants as a tribe have no idea what kind of power they can pack.

From my point of view a couple Runed Stalactite in ANY deck make this guy fatter, the only drawback is its 7 mana... ok, assume you drop it easily with like 4 birds of paradise on turn 4: no other giants, ok, equip one or two stalactites and u get a 12/12 with trample. Did anyone here think on the word "removal"?
if you manage to get it flying and shroud you won the game.

Obsidian Battle-Axe can let BB swing the second you drop him. Most other giants are also warriors, so this could be a great addition in any giant deck. Steely Resolve or Dense Foliage will keep your precious giants alive and you'll still be able to equip the battle-axe.

Why is this rated so low?? Your obviously going use him only in a giant deck. Which means He will easily be a 16/16 - 20/20 trampler when you drop him. Lot's of ways to give him haste. Game winner for sure.

One of the obscure advantages of this card (and of tribal cards in general) is that they are fiercely resistant to creature-control builds.
I once played against such a build; it was a blue Counterbalance-Sensei's Divining Top deck of the kind that's supposed to frustrate Giant players and make them feel mentally inferior, but Giants ended up on top. First, I cleared the board of his potentially supremely annoying Serendib Sorcerer with my Thundercloud Shaman. Then he played Keiga, the Tidestar. I attacked with both of my 12/12 Behemoths, Keiga died, he took control of one, it shrunk to a measly 4/4, and that was the game.

Giants are also great against Counterbalance because their CMCs begin at 4, and the most important ones have costs of 6 or 7. All I'm saying is sometimes you just can't outsmart raw power.
