Elder Dragon Highlander strategy note: This card is noted for its use in being able to keep an opponent's general off the battlefield.

Am I the only one that likes this card? Isn't it at least worth combining it with Meddling Mage?

I feel like a bastard for playing this in EDH and naming my opponent's general.

A great card, basically name your opponent's best card and he can't use it.

@ simicfan: No, Declaration of Naught cannot stop land from being played.
Rule 305.1 - ...Playing a land is a special action; it doesn't use the stack. Rather, the player simply puts the land onto the battlefield. Since the land doesn't go on the stack, it is never a spell, and players can't respond to it with instants or activated abilities.
