I don't know how you can say "Strictly worse" than Mox Ruby when its generally accepted that the mox's are overpowered and that is why they will never be reprinted. Basing one card (that is designed to be more balanced) on a unrealistic to obtain (due to high price and rarity) and a banned card is not at all a fair assessment. If it didn't come into play tapped, it would not be bad at all, as it would compete with the Talisman of Dominance, Impulse, Indulgence, Progress, and Unity. Of course those also have a draw back, as its clear that a 0CC Mana artifact can be so insanely strong. I understand a reprint of something, but when you list as a card that is part of the power 9, there is a reason its there, and I don't think that is fair at all to the card. Yes they have feelings. There are better mana fixes/ramp now but back then it couldn't have been that bad.

Yeah, the hand coming out of the earth and clasped around it is rather odd...
