Way back in Stronghold, the Falcon's sky-slitting was stated as a simple fact. It's all there was to it.

By 7th edition, however... skeptics have popped up. Reason wins out. It's said that it's believed the sky was slit open. What's happening to the kids of today? No faith. None at all.
