Opposition + Squirrel Nest + Earthcraft + Seedborn Muse = One of the greatest ways to win a game based on pure spite for the other player. So mean, yet so awesome all at once!

Oh my God, I hated this card. This and squirrel nest nearly broke my sanity. I will however admit to having a sort of grudging respect for the nigh absolute lock this card can establish with an army of tokens.

Not that this card needs a lot of help, but it used to be ungodly with Deranged Hermit and/or Winter Orb. It can still be a threat in most Singleton formats.

@LordRandomness: It's called Shoving Match. Of course, it's an instant, not an enchantment, but it's a great deal of fun.

Opposition is more powerful than Glare of Subdual, but the color itself isn't famed for token creation, which is usually required for such a deck. Glare is Green/White, makes it far easier to generate tokens for the purpose (along with TONS of other token-friendly spells).
Don't just look at the cards! Look at the deck it's in and you'd know Glare is no worse than Opposition once the decks are made.

Good old Opposition, nice fun with Seedborn Muse.

@A3Kitsune:
Not necessarily, because Glare of Subdual is in the colors most likely to have masses of cheap creatures/tokens to utilize it with. Blue, on the other hand, is the least effective color in that area. I'm not saying one is better than the other, just that I believe the color difference makes them difficult to compare.

The father of Glare of Subdual. Great control piece!

What we need is a {U} version of this with the drawback that everyone can use it.
...okay, no, that'd be terrible. But terribly hilarious.
