Interesting how Magic has gone from removing pentagrams on Unholy Strength to wholesale goat sacrifice.

Great in an "Old Testament" themed Kaalia of the Vast EDH deck. Slaughtering goats to power out angels and demons is almost as fun as casting Ashes to Ashes and Dust to Dust one after the other.

I run it in my Kresh EDH. It does next to nothing for Kresh himself but considering I run a good quarter of the deck with mana ramping, I like to have something to waste mana on during those slow, political games. Like someone else said, 0/1s don't draw much attention. They are also good devour targets for a surprise Predator Dragon. :-D

Perfect sideboard for Planechase. Because I'm fairly certain it's a law that all Planechase decks HAVE to have Goldmeadow.

Rosewater goes for all that trouble for the "Tribal" supertype (which for some inexplicable reason is actually a type-type?), and this isn't a "Tribal Land- Goat". Talk about missed opportunities. Shameful.

yap, but it was kinda supposed to go along with Springjack Shepherd in any mono white deck.
without the shepherd, i don't think it would be any use...

I use these in my red goat deck. It's a shame that the Mountain Goat and Zodiac Goat are the only critter cards that actually read "goat". Guess you could use changelings, though.
