Obviously this card was a precursor for Intimidate, but this doesn't make him a creature with Intimidate ;)

Except this card states a color. Intimidate says 'creatures that share a color with this creature'. The two abilities react differently to laces and altering color-words.

yeah, you could change this guy's color and he would still only be able to be blocked by red/artifact creatures. The same can't be said about Bladetusk Boar

Yeah, im pretty sure the oracle text should be updated.
Intimidate (This creature can't be blocked except by artifact creatures and/or creatures that share a color with it.)
Skirk's ability = Cant be blocked except by red/artifact. Red shares a color. Artifacts can block. Smells like intimidate to me.
