This would make a beautiful vertical cycle for a Core Set.
They're all X/X creatures for X mana with essentially no drawback, or even a moderate mana accel.
But they still don't necessarily need to overshadow red, black or blue comparable creatures since they're overall still fragile to shatter effects.

Nim Deathmantle + any sac enguine

This actually used to have a risky drawback... you get {4}. Back when you had manaburn to worry about, that might be the same as "replace this with another creature" or the same as "waste a spell or take 4 damage". Obviously much better these days.

Wow, an old creature that works wonders even today! In a sac deck, this is a miracle.

Well, the curve has changed already; creatures as good as Wurmcoil Engine are available to all colors. It's fair that blue gets a 4/4 flyer for 4, just like it's fair now for green to get a 4/4 for 3.

Nim Deathmantle for a 6/6 black intimidate that refuses to stay dead.

Don't know why this is rated so low, it's a 4/4 for 4 that no longer has any semblance of a drawback.

Su-Chi!!! This creature gave a lot of problems to Tocasia's young students Urza and Mishra in the novel "The Brothers' War" the first novel of Magic... Many mysteries were held by this creature and an army of 6 Su-Chi's almost ended with the mighty Urza and Mishra and we wouldn't had this amazing story finished! Thanks Su-Chi for begining the amazing artifact race between these two legendary brothers...
