It's still 6 for a 5/5 who can do 3 just by tapping, you could block with it and still tap it to kill something for 8 damage. Could also use life and limb to sacrifice saprolings to gain 3 mana per tap.

Use with crucible of worlds to basically get a free lightning bolt.

Nobody has said anything but does this card reference Stomping Grounds leaving Standard or am I crazy?

In this case not just slightly, considering that this is an activated ability one could just use in a unadvanteous phase in an opponent's turn to result in three damage easily.

Now that with M10 the mana burn is gone i notice how many cards there have actually been which worked with it.
RIP, Vorthos will also miss the dangerous flavor you gave to his mana.

Another card ever so slightly nerfed by the mana burn change ....

Head down running from the beast
Breakneck speed taking all my breath
Black feet scraped and scarred and dripping blood
Rain come down take me with your flood

Love that song...

I finally understand. His second was ramp but also a green Lightning Bolt before mana burn left.

Exactly what I need and only 79 cents for foils! Works with Orcish Lumberjacks, Deathrite Shaman

Primeval Titan's wasteful brother. Both sons of Countryside Crusher and Rosheen Meanderer. Sunrise Shaman, Helldozer and Borderland Behemoth are the uncles.
