Ironically, he's not an Elder, but he's now a Dragon without Flying?

Sir_Bruce, he's a Dragon because he has wings, although they're buried by sand and, as noted by his lack of flying, none too useful. The "Elder" creature type is reserved ONLY for the 5 Elder Dragon Legends, and I don't believe it will ever be used as an effective type again unless it's to portray beings of similar power(although, you caught me, the guys themselves aren't that great these days, bar the Nicol Bolas lulwalker)

He might not be a true elder dragon but maybe he's the first generation of wurm?
Anyway hope they revisit the idea.

For 7 mana you get a 5/5. With Trample and (wait for it) Defender.
For its time it was probably fine, but I'm gonna need to see a little more before I get excited.

Mr_Hendry: He is a creature with Defender until he blocks once, then he loses Defender. The use of the Defender keyword prevents him from attacking until he has blocked at least once.

If it were 2 white less it would be playable. Or less.

@Dr. Pingas,
Actually, this card is just conceived as just a white wurm. The dragon bit comes only from the flavor text, "let sleeping dragons lie." He's an elder because he's been asleep long enough for earth to pile up around him. (A a side note: If players today can easily accept that Island of Wak-Wak isn't an Island just because it has the word in the name, then they can accept that sometimes words are just meant to be descri ptive. We don't need to be conferring special, cycle subtypes on every Elder, Praetor, and Bringer.)
