I'm rather fond of this card, actually. From a limited standpoint, of course.

He's not bad. You normally pay {2R} for Prodigal Pyromancer, you normally pay {3} for a 3/2, so it's not a bad deal for versatility. He shoots Cloud Sprites, faerie tokens from Bitterblossom, and Plague Stingers, so he still has a place. Kinda. I just use Cunning Sparkmage or Vulshok Sorceror or even Vithian Stinger for my pinging needs. That said, he is still a 3/2, so he can smash little dorks. If he could ping players and creatures without evasion, he'd be an above-average utility creature.
Besides, we all know this is what Legolas' elf-eyes see 24/7.

Seems pretty good for its time. I mean, people were using Giant Trap Door Spiders at the time because of their "large" body relative to its cost.
