Whoa - compare the art's colours to the other printings. Something happened.

One of the best examples of the disconnect between departments in the early days of magic, this and Whipoorwill should have flying...Otherwise, this is decent card....

This card is lame, pure & simple. It doesn't even have flying!

Hmmm.....
Well, Magus of the Future or Future Sight for one thing.
As for the other thing.... Why on earth does this not have flying?

The answer to the riddle is, of course, beer.
For beer crates are carried into the bar by four legs in the morning;
The bartender serves it up in the afternoon on two;
And in the evening, the drunkard passes out in the alleyway and gets kicked in the side by three local ragamoffyns.

Along with the unsolvable riddle of why this Sphinx doesn't have flying is another unsolvable riddle: Why is she a white card? She just seems like she should be blue.
Actully, she may be a non-flyer because the designers were thinking of the Sphinx in Egypt, which doesn't have wings. Why she isn't blue, however, is a mystery for the ages.

Human is the answer to the riddle.

Seems like it could work with blue, but then it requires 3 white to get out, ouch.
